Global Scholars Application Essay
My personal experiences living in four foreign countries including France, Germany, Spain, and China, as well as my experiences hosting students from these countries, will help me contribute to the Global Initiatives Program at Poly. I am excited to share what I have learned and hope that my insights might help others gain an appreciation and understanding of other cultures. I think this understanding is important, not only because life outside the United States is fascinating, but because an appreciation of different perspectives is critical to solving global issues. I hope that the Global Scholars Program will help me expand my knowledge and understanding of global issues. I look forward to activities such as listening to guest speakers, collaborating with others, and researching topics of interest that will broaden my worldview.
